How Are Incoming Messages Handled

There are two settings that control how the list handles incoming messages.

The first of these are the default Message Acceptance settings for the list. These are found under the list's Settings.

There are separate default settings for messages from members versus non-members. The available options are described in the settings window.

The second are the Moderation Action settings for each list subscriber. These settings can be adjusted for each subscriber as shown below. "List Default" means to follow the configured default setting for the list, and the others work the same as the default settings described above.
